Due to an ongoing project, an opportunity for an Accounting Technician has arisen to join a reputable business, based in the heart of Portsmouth on a 6-month temporary assignment. The successful Accounting Technician will be offered remote working days, great sector exposure, and the chance to be part of a ‘family feel’ culture within the workplace.
This opportunity will be working closely with the Finance Manager, providing support with ad hoc project-based work, whilst assisting in the preparation of the annual budgets.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Budgetary control and monitoring of Business Unit budgets
- Contributing to the preparation of financial accounts
- Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of the annual accounts
- Assist in the ongoing review of financial analysis
- Contribution to the preparation of statutory accounts
- Comply with companies policies and procedures
- Liaising with budget stakeholders
What you will need:
- The following experience: Assistant Accountant / Assistant Financial Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Financial Accountant / Accounts Assistant Management Accountant
- Strong Excel skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- To be immediately available
