We have teamed up with a family-owned logistics company based near Newbury that is searching for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for processing invoices, assisting with payment runs and will benefit from being part of a business that values staff welfare by offering flexible working hours, free on-site parking, and staff incentives.
 
This role would suit someone looking for their first step into finance, or someone who has experience in a similar role.

Reporting to the Management Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Processing invoices onto the accounting system
• Assisting with payment runs
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Issuing remittances
• Dealing with queries

What you will need:

• Experience in a similar role such as Purchase Ledger Clerk / Purchase Ledger Assistant / Finance Assistant / Finance Administrator / Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant / Accounts Payable Clerk / Accounts Assistant / Accounts Receivable Clerk / Accounts Receivable Assistant
• Studying towards an accounting qualification would be beneficial but not essential
• IT literate
