An international manufacturing organisation is setting up a brand-new location in the UK, and they are searching for their next Finance Director to head up a newly created team.
 
Joining this business based in Portsmouth, the successful Finance Director will receive a performance-related bonus, private medical insurance, an enhanced pension, and hybrid working. The Finance Director will be pivotal in establishing the function, building a team, and developing processes.
 
To take on this Finance Director role you will need experience working in large corporate organisations with multiple jurisdictions, happy to get stuck in and get hands-on.
 
 
Reporting to the Global CFO you will be responsible for:

• Lead & provide strategic direction to the finance team with a focus on improving the month-end close process and controls
• Lead the monthly financial close activities
• Work closely with internal/external audit
• Standardisation of balance sheet review process using blackline capabilities
• Liaison with key EMEA stakeholders
• Leading and developing a direct team of 5

 
What you will need:

• Finance qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Experience working in the manufacturing/engineering sector
• Experience working in a blue chip / multi-jurisdictional environment
• Proven leadership skills
