Want a hands-on role running the day-to-day finance function?
We’re working with a machinery & plant hire business to recruit a Finance Manager to join their growing company. Joining a business where the atmosphere is fast paced, and no day is the same! You’ll be the sole member of the finance function and ensuring it’s smooth running. This role would suit someone who is keen to have a busy day but have their long evenings to themselves, maintaining that precious work-life-balance.
This role will be pivotal to the business as you’ll act as the main point of contact for Finance. You will be responsible for overall day-to-day bookkeeping, Payroll Journals, Purchase invoices and Bank Reconciliations.
To take on the Finance Manager role you’ll need to be hands-on and have knowledge of Excel and Sap. Experience in a similar stand-alone finance role will help you to hit the ground running.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Day to day book-keeping (Credit control, purchase and sales ledger)
Creating sales invoices
Investigating and resolving discrepancies
Reconciling accounts
Weekly and Monthly Payment run
Assisting with Year End and coordinating and preparing for audit
Monitoring budgets
Fixed Asset register
Working with purchasing to ensure an efficient purchasing system and sign off of invoices
Main contact to liaise with external Accountants
Ad-hoc support to general manager
What you will need:
Advanced Excel and SAP knowledge and experience
Experience within a stand-alone finance role
Excellent attention to detail and meticulously organised
Ability to work independently and take initiative
