Due to internal projects, an influx of work has caused this Southampton-based distribution company to look for its next Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful Management Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts and supporting both ledgers.  

As well as having the option to work remotely twice a week, the Finance Manager will also receive an impressive holiday package, free parking when on-site, and discounts on many popular products and services.

Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Assist with the production of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, and annual statutory accounts for presentation to the board
• Provide reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts
• To assist in the preparation of company and departmental budgets and forecasts
• To identify trends and look for business improvements and cost savings
• Supporting from floor to ceiling accounting
• Audit queries

What you will need:

• Part qualified or qualified in the following would be advantageous, but not essential! AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA
• Good excel/data manipulation skills
• Ability to start ASAP is strongly desirable
