Payroll Clerk Job Details
Rate:£10 - £11 Per Hour
We have teamed up with an established public sector organisation, based in Portsmouth, that is looking for an immediately available Payroll Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis for roughly 8 months.
Due to a high influx of work, you will work closely with the Payroll and Pension team, assisting with the accurate data entry of payroll information. This role would suit a Payroll Clerk who has prior experience in a similar setting, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys a role where no two days are the same.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Inputting of time sheets to process payroll
- Processing starters and leavers
- Liaising with HMRC to resolve any queries
- Processing manual calculations
- Processing P45s and P60s
What you will need:
- Experience in a similar role such as Payroll Clerk / Payroll Officer / Senior Payroll Clerk / Payroll Administrator
- A steady and methodical approach
- Immediate or imminent availability
