The Niche Partnership are looking for a Payroll Officer for a permanent role for a growing global organisation in Whiteley. The role is part of a small payroll function, reporting to the payroll manager.  

The successful Payroll Officer will own their own UK and international payrolls, they aren’t large payrolls but offer different complexities. The successful Payroll Officer will benefit from hybrid working- 3 days in the office and remainder WFH.

The Payroll Officer must have a hands-on approach, comfortable with running payrolls, liaising with people on a day to day basis.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be tasked with the following:

  • Administering payroll information in multiple systems, by collating , calculating and entering data from various sources.
  • Receives and reviews payroll records ensuring compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Adhere to legislation and company timescales for the submission o payroll data to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Handling a variety of payroll transactions, starters, leavers, SSM, SMP, Salary sacrifice etc.
  • Collection of overseas information regarding personal oncome tax liabilities and the delivery of UK modified PAYE scheme.

What you will need:

  • Ideally you will have   1- 2 years’ experience in a payroll environment or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable payroll management experience
  • Working knowledge of payroll process and procedures with the ability to get involved in setting new policies or offering/ recommending any amendments.
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP, Kerridge, STAR are advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
