Are you looking to join a company that offers hybrid working, flexible working hours, and a business that has plans to double in size? We are supporting a local organisation on the outskirts of Southampton that are looking a Senior Payroll Clerk to join their payroll team. This role will be the go to point of conctact for the team for any technical queries, and the Senior Payroll Clerk will mentor a team of 2. This role would suit a Senior Payroll Clerk who has a great understanding of the fundermentals of payroll and is looking to work for a growing organisation. 
 
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, Processing & Administration of the payroll
  • Logging new starters and leavers
  • Enrolling staff into pensions
  • Processing statutory payments such as maternity pay and sick pay
  • Overseeing payslips and reports
  • Dealing with queries regarding payslips
  • Setting up new employees

What you will need:

  • Experience in the following: Payroll Clerk / Payroll Administrator / Payroll Admin / Senior Payroll Clerk / Payroll Supervisor / Payroll Team Leader / Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll Administrator
  • Previous experience supporting a payroll of around 1000 employees
  • IT literate – particularly in Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
