Senior Payroll Clerk is required to join an ambitious business on the outskirts of Southampton who focus on physical and mental well-being for their customers.  The Senior Payroll will receive remote working (2 days pw), flexible working hours and 25 + 8 days annual leave. The successful Senior Payroll Clerk will be the go-to point of contact regarding any technical payroll queries as well as the below duties. This role would suit a Senior Payroll Clerk who has a great understanding of the fundamentals of payroll and is looking to continue their development!  
 
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, processing & administration of the payroll
  • Logging new starters and leavers
  • Dealing with Internal transfers and amendments
  • Enrolling staff into pensions
  • Processing statutory payments such as maternity pay and sick pay
  • Dealing with queries
  • Setting up new employees
  • Offering payroll support for employees and line managers

What you will need:

  • Experience in the following: Payroll Clerk / Payroll Administrator / Payroll Admin / Senior Payroll Clerk / Payroll Supervisor / Payroll Team Leader / Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll Administrator
  • Previous experience supporting a payroll of around 1000 employees
  • IT literate – particularly in Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
