Due to a team restructure, we are recruiting for a Transactional Finance Manager to join a relatively new and exciting joint venture based in Portsmouth on a 3 – 6 month temporary contract. The successful Transactional Finance Manager will be offered flexible working hours, hybrid working (2-3 remote days), and a 1pm finish on Fridays. Due to movement within the team, this role is likely to go permanent for the ideal candidate, or be a great opportunity for someone to support on an interim for 3-6 months.  
 
This role would suit someone who has a strong background managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or General Ledger teams, whilst also supporting with core accounting tasks.
 
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for the management and oversight of the Accounts Payable function, including the processing of credit card statements and employee expenses
• Reconciliation of the month balance sheet and VAT transactions, as well as producing quarterly VAT returns
• Overseeing customer invoicing and responsible for reconciling the Accounts Receivable ledger
• Lead all aspects of the financial transaction processing, ensuring compliance with internal processes and controls, and supporting the month-end accounting close procedure
• Day to day management of a team of 3 – including 1-1s, appraisals and work delegation

What you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar role such as Accounts Payable Manager / Accounts Receivable Manager / Purchase Ledger Manager / Sales Ledger Manager / Accounts Supervisor / Finance Supervisor
• Studying towards or qualified in AAT – desirable but not essential  
• Experience with using SAP is desirable
